Scotland!!

We have been in Scotland since Saturday. The plane ride went VERY WELL!! Better than we had expected. Aaralyn slept (for the most part) on the plane and those around us said they were really impressed with how well she did on her first day of flying (we were impressed, too!!)
So, Baby Einstein videos are great...Aaralyn loves them and she watched one during our lay-over in Newark.

After a pretty rough 2 days of jet lag with Aaralyn, we got out and explored the Highlands. Although it was chilly and rainy (quite normal for Scotland, I am told) we visited the castle Dunstaffnage. I wish I could tell you more about the castle. It was too late in the day to get to go inside, so we were only able to explore the outside. I will say, even from the outside, it was beautiful!!!

More to come soon!

First Foods

Yep...that's right. Our little one is eating solids (well, if you call soupy rice cereal a solid!!) She has really improved her eating skills in the past week and now is actually getting some in her belly.

The pep talk

She's excited

The first bite

Not so sure about this

"Open wide!"

All done!

A Day to Remember...

I actually have a lot of things to catch up on, but this one couldn't wait...
It was Aaralyn's first visit to Chick-fil-a!!
Donny took us on a family outing and we ate some good, no...GREAT...chicken sandwiches. Too bad Aaralyn couldn't enjoy the taste, only the smells. But soon, I'm sure, she will be eating right beside us!

(I can't figure out how to turn that one around...sorry, just turn your head to the left...or tilt your screen to the right..whichever one works best for you.)
More updates soon...

Rolls, Teeth and Toes

The past few weeks have been so eventful. Aaralyn has recently learned how to turn all the way over (from her back to her belly and then to her back again) which has given me a small taste of what crawling is going to be like! After a week of hard work, on Saturday and Sunday she "cut" her first two teeth! Kinda strange to think that I will never see that toothless grin again. This past weekend she also discovered that she could grab her feet...which is really adorable. I took some pics of these wonderful milestones that I would like to share.
